GVD Best Practices Guide

Difference Highlight


Use the “Difference Highlight” feature to highlight all differences, pixel-by-pixel, in a user-specified color, bringing the difference to the proofreader’s attention.

Best Practices


The “Cropping Feature” allows you to select and crop specific areas of the artwork to be inspected when the master and sample files have different layouts.

Define Shape Layer
or Separation


The “Define Shape Layer or Separation” feature is mainly used to define the inspection area based on a layer or separation.

Differences


If you are an administrator of your GVD account, you can enable this setting to ensure that every difference is reviewed by users and no difference is overlooked or missed.

Debug Mode


Running in Debug Mode is the equivalent of running an inspection with Difference Grouping set to 1 pixel.
