By the year 2013 expect the pharmaceutical packaging industry to reach a high of $62.3B. A large part of this is due to the increasing number of new packaging options being developed in the US these days with prefillable syringes and inhalers being the amongst the fastest growing. All of this growth combined with the varying languages and dosages leads to other concerns, such as label inspection, packaging inspection and managing and maintaining an optimum level of packaging quality control.
